Doors & Windows
We are trying to stay ahead of the builder, so we have been picking out roofing materials, windows and doors. The front of the chapel will have double doors for the main entrance and will have 2 single doors on either side: One for the bride ready room and one for the office. Here is a picture of the style we have picked for the front doors.
Heading Skyward
Now that the sanctuary floor has been completed there is nowhere to go but up! Thanks to the framers, who are a hard working bunch of guys, we are making good progress with the building.
Over the last 10 days they have installed the walls and the roof trusses for the sanctuary level. These pictures face south which will be the wall with the floor to ceiling windows. The view is still as spectacular as ever.
The framers built this scaffold to work from while they installed the roof trusses. We brought the crane back in to provide the heavy lifting. Here they are installing the first roof truss.

Bride Ready Room
This is the look we are going for in the Bride Ready room's bathroom. Although, our mirror will be an oval glass tilt mirror not brown wood and we will have white bead board below the chair-rail. Getting ready to take several prospective couples on Chapel tours in the next couple of days....can't wait!! The cookies will be waiting!!

Moving Right Along
Wow! We've been having fun. We brought in a crane to do some of the heavy lifting.
With the help of the crane the framers were able to put the vertical and horizontal 12"x12"x12'(+/-) beams into place. We now have the Fireside level completely framed in.
The beams became the support structure for the floor trusses for the main sanctuary level.
Once the trusses were in place the crew was able to lay the deck for the main sanctuary level. These pictures were taken at 7:00pm from the floor of the sanctuary for those looking for a spectacular backdrop.
