September Wedding Backdrop:
Around 7:00 pm this evening, we were up at the Chapel checking on the days construction and we were awestruck by the beauty of our surroundings and the colors the sunset turned the sky and the Lake!!  What a beautiful evening for a wedding!!  We could just see how the sanctuary's wall of windows was going to frame future weddings!! Check it out!!!

Since our last post, several things have happened!!

The Fireside (lower) level is framed!!  This includes the Grooms Ready Room, mechanical room, storage room, and the reception/ceremony area.

                                 

The reception/ceremony room will have a stone fireplace with 3 section sliding glass doors on either side that will go onto a patio which will overlook Table Rock Lake.

This week they will be framing the upper level of the Chapel!!  This level will have the sanctuary, office, Bride Ready, Commercial Kitchen, 2 restrooms and our much needed storage!!

Our light fixture order has arrived!!  The shingles are in and ready for delivery!

It seems like every week we mention that we are bringing in fill for our parking lot.  Here is a look from the bottom of the pile.  We have a big hole to fill.  We will be ready for grading very soon!

We are really enjoying our future Bride's & Groom's reactions to the wooded surroundings and the awesome view  of the Lake!!

We are getting very excited!!  Be sure to call and book a venue tour asap!!   The 2018 Wedding Season has begun!!

Weekly Update

Wow!  A lot has happened over the last couple of days. The lower level's concrete floor is in!!  We are calling this level the  "Fireside Level" because it will have a fireplace on the rear wall with triple doors on either side.  You will be able to walk out on the rear porch (with a pergola roof) and look out toward the lake and woods.

  

 We are getting very excited!!  All the light fixtures have been ordered and they are starting to arrive!! The crystal chandelier & sconces for the Bride Ready room are beautiful!! They will be a perfect backdrop for bridal photos!!

The front porch will be 8ft deep and 12ft wide. The heavy wooden entry beams will be gothic shaped along with the two front windows of the stone chapel. The large hanging lantern will have matching wall lanterns on either side of the front wooden doors. We are trying to create an Old New England Stone Chapel with all of today's modern conveniences!!

The 4 petina'd chandeliers for the Chapel sanctuary have arrived!!  We can't wait to hang them!!  They will have dimmer switches to create the perfect wedding lighting. We are anxious to see how they are reflected on the 35ft. high glass wall overlooking the lake!

All the flooring is ordered: Wood flooring for the entire 1st floor (Sanctuary, Bride's Room & Office). There will be ceramic tile in all the restrooms and the commercial kitchen will have a commercial vinyl floor.  The lower level (Grooms Room, Fireside Room, Restrooms & rear porch)will have stained/glossed floors to match the wood floors. Pretty soon we will be picking out area rugs for the Groom's Room and for the large Fireside room!!

Keep watching for our weekly updates! Our 1st wedding in the chapel is in 8 months!! It will be here before we know it!!

The foundation work continues with the termite treatment completed, the waterproofing completed and the insulation board being installed.

The plumbing drain system that will be below the lower level floor has been run.  The forms, plastic, mesh and rebar have been placed so that we can pour the lower level floor next week.  We are calling the lower level the Fireside Level because there will be a fireplace with windows over looking the lake.

                        

And finally we have dug a trench and laid the conduit for the permanent power and data cabling.
